Gamala, Delta Dunia new corsec passed away

JAKARTA: Gamala Virasa Katoppo, 42, a new corporate secretary of coal mining contractor PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk, passed away on Tuesday afternoon on assumed-heart burn.

His body have stayed on the grief house in Jl Kemang Timur 4W Jakarta Selatan and cremated this Friday in Oasis, Tangerang.

Yura Katoppo, eldest brother of Gamala, said the departed was found unconscious at his house between 13.00--17.00 after he was checked by SOS Medika Hospital, Cipete, South Jakarta, in the late morning at 01.00 because a heart burn suspicion.

"His conditions get better and the hospital allowed him to return home, but still he absent from work to get rest. He rest at his room in 13.00 until 17.00 until the maid found him already gone, so no one know exact time he passed away," said the brother to Bisnis in the grief house, in Wednesday.

Gamala is the youngest of three from Katoppo brothers. The departed, whose nickname was Wira and left his only lovely wife, is the younger brother of Baraditta Katoppo, PT Fitch Ratings Indonesia President Director.

Gamala assisted as the most diligent work-out among his brothers for go to gym, jogging, and not smoking, thus makes some of the mournersb surprized about the lost.

Gamala has just officially appointed as corporate secretary of Delta Dunia last week, replacing his predecessor Andre Soelistiyanto who will handle corporate finance task at the company which controlled by TPG Capital (Texas Pacific Group), China Investment Corporation, Government of Singapore's Investment Corporation, and Northstar Pacific.

Delta Dunia, shares emitters which coded DOID, is a holding company of mining and coal service entity PT Bukit Mutiara, led by Hagianto Kumala.

Previously, he acted as corporate secretary in construction engineering company PT Truba Alam Manunggal Tbk which shares coded TRUB.

Wira also have been appoint as oil & gas service company PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk corporate research & information officer which shares coded MEDC.

Truba Alam Manunggal, commadeered by Sidarta Sidik as president director and Richard Harjani as president commissioner, is one of construction company whose initiating power plant project in Indonesia in 2000s, far from the government's electricity project couple of years.
